SB1139 PAWS Co-Sponsors List & Contact Information
Write your Senator or if you want to get their attention, FAX at 9 A.M. on Monday and Wednesday. Go ahead, jam the fax lines. Do not email. It is easier but rarely has any effect. A paper letter must be tallied and has a totally different impact. A form letter is useless. That's why we don't suggest words. Use your own. That's what counts, literally.
Your letter can be as short as one sentence and certainly no more than three concise paragraphs. Do not argue your point, just state it. Our Legislative experts advise that you should also cc your letter to all legislators whom you feel might oppose those who co-sponsor PAWS!!! They will be energized and appreciative.
Clearly state you are against SB1139/HB2669 If you fail to make that very clear, as others have learned, your letter may be counted as "for" the bill! Ask them NOT to co-sponsor or to WITHDRAW sponsorship. Tell them you expect an answer (to one or two questions you pose) which you will share with your friends before you go to the polls.
