The Shiloh Shepherd™ is a giant breed that portrays a distinct impression of nobility and intelligence.  The Shiloh resembles the German Shepherd but the breed developer, Tina Barber, designed a taller, more powerfully built dog to be free of hip dysplasia.  Gentle and naturally protective of children,  the Shiloh Shepherd is an ideal family dog with the stature (averaging 28") to discourage any intruder.

Created by Breed Founder Tina Barber, the Shiloh Shepherd is a super-sized, level-backed dog, intelligent and naturally protective, with a calm, stable temperament. Generally good with children and other animals, Shilohs are a people-loving breed. They excel in Therapy and Service dog positions where their empathy and ability to problem-solve come to the fore. Shilohs possess a natural protective instinct focused on their home and family, but they are not aggressive dogs. To take full advantage of the Shiloh's intelligence and versatility, owners should plan to provide a lot of early socialization to their new pup. This is a dog that benefits from a great deal of owner interaction. Shilohs come in both long ("plush") and short ("smooth") coats and a wide variety of colors.

They recently graduated from the ISSR's online breeder-training academy (after three years of study) as full ISSR Licensed Breeders. Anne also serves as President of their local Chapter of the Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club of America.
