2015 National Toy Fox Terrier Show

The National Toy Fox Terrier Association 2015 National Show was held Oct. 22nd at the United Kennel Club’s annual Gateway event at Purina Farms in Missouri, the annual NTFTA national was a big success!
A total of 45 dogs were entered: 6 day of show entries, 39 pre-entries. The following classes were offered in addition to regular classes including altered: non-licensed puppy classes, veteran, brood bitch, stud dog, brace.
The event secretary was Tammy Wallace and the Show Chairman was Anne Kieffer. An amazing show committee and group of volunteers made this national a huge success. Show committee members were Kelley Maldon, Lila Fast, Violet Denney, Kimberly K Rowley. Special volunteers were Bill McAllister, Dickie and Jackie Kays, Terri Creech, and Diana Denney Schoonover, who was thrown into the show ring for the very first time and did an amazing job.
The show was an extravaganza of prizes, ribbons, trophies, and silent auction baskets. Cake was provided for exhibitors and attendees. Tables were decorated with the fall season theme. The theme for the national was Fallin’ For TFTs! Lila Fast handled t-shirt and totes with the lovely theme.
Violet Denney generously provided trophies for each class. The NTFTA provided gorgeous fall theme rosettes along with plaques donated by Julie Slaughterback for National Best of Breed, National Grand Champion, and National Champion winners. Beautiful blankets and chew toys were made and donated by Ann Mauermann of Kentucky.
The NTFTA 2015 National hosted a costume contest! Congratulations to Kelley Maldon on winning this fun new event!!
SPONSORSHIPS MAKING IT SPECIAL - This year, the national had sponsors for each class. The prizes were embroidered chairs and towels, engraved water buckets, and many other prizes. So many opportunities to come home with beautiful prizes and trophies were provided by our sponsors: Anne and Amanda Kieffer, Lila Fast, Sharon Bruckshen, Kim Rowley, Violet Denney, Ell Ward, Sheila Wheatley, FrizFox Toy Fox Terriers, Azefer Toy Fox Terriers, Tammy Wallace, Foxlace Farms, and Makulu & the Midgets. PARENT CLUBS ATTEND THE SHOW - The national was well represented by the attendance of John and Sally Davidson from the Illinois Toy Fox Terrier Club and the Florida Toy Fox Terrier Club. Sandy Smith came from Florida to support the national on behalf of the Florida Toy Fox Terrier Club and sponsored a basket from their state. The Davidson’s sponsored a lovely basket on behalf of their Illinois Toy Fox Terrier Club and state. The following states were also sponsored and represented: Kentucky, Iowa, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Indiana, and Missouri.
THE WINNERS: RECORD BREAKING YEAR!! - Congratulations to Kim Rowley, on winning the 2015 National Best of Breed in Missouri under Judge Nina Marie Sherrer! FritzFox Shining Star @ Flair aka Baby is just 7 months old, and this was her first show for points.
Baby defeated her mom, 2013 NBOB NGRCH GRCH NCH Fritzfox Waltzing Mathilda! Her sire was CH. Fritzfox Hear It 4 The Boy; who took Best Stud Dog at the same show. Lastly, Baby made it into the UKC Top Ten at her first show! Record breaking experience!
Kelley and Alex Maldon (Maldonfox) broke another record by winning the National Grand Champion twice with their beautiful bitch, Maldonfox NGRCH GRCH Fleur De Dandeline aka Dandee.
This record has only been held by Doug Gordon of Texas until this year. Kelley Maldon handled this beautiful Grand Champion at the show.
The 2015 National Champion, Valaramas Freedom Is Not Free was bred, owned, and handled by Grace Conally against strong competition.
