When visiting your vet, you need to be acutely aware of the Humane Society Veterinary Association (HSVA) and the even more radical Association of Veterinarians For Animal Rights (AVAR). The Animal Rights veterinary groups have squared off against the traditional American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) in a war over Animal Rights vs. Animal Welfare and who gets your money.
