WHALES SIGNAL MANKIND

TheDogPlace Staff

Danger is everywhere today, in the ocean, the jungle and in your city streets! You worry about your children, your animals, the environment, politics and...

Learn about the threats faced by the largest animals on the planet and what that means to you personally in Whales Signal Mankind.

Your dog will alert and protect you from danger but take 45 seconds to learn about the threats faced by the largest animals on the planet and what that means to you personally. (Humpback Whale and Calf pictured above) For example, do you know that not so long ago there were nearly a million Beluga whales? So…? Today are fewer than 180,000? What’s it to you…?

Predictive, that’s what! Many of earth’s strongest and most intelligent mammals are seriously endangered. Did you know that 2016 revealed a significant drop in sea mammals and that NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) reported that today’s baby whales may not live long enough to reproduce…

More than a wakeup call, it’s a 911 call that cannot be denied.

Whales and porpoise are not fish. They are “thinking” (sentient) mammals, like your dog… whales just happen to live in water but they are said to be as intelligent as a family dog. The big difference is that dogs worry about us and instinctively protect us. Ocean mammals couldn’t care less….

But wait, did you know that mother whales breast-feed their calves for 10 months. People used to nurse their babies and many mothers still do. The difference is that whale kids can catch and eat fish whereas human children can barely walk. The point is that whales (and porpoise) stay in the pod with their mothers until they are fully grown adults, often longer.

And here’s a thought that will hit home with every woman reading this. Mother elephants breast feed their babies for over 5 years. Daughters then stay with their mother until at least until breeding age and many live together in the same herd for their entire lives.

Yeah, animals are decidedly different. Here’s some more brain ticklers. Even the biggest animals do no harm to earth. They fertilize the soil and in grazing they distribute and pollinate plants. It is fair to say that what we do to the earth, even as big as it is, can badly affect our health and our children’s children.

We consume and toss manufactured items that make rivers unfit for mammals. We are inconsistent about re-cycling and our children will pay the price. The really frightening thing is that today many people don’t know or don’t care about our natural resources.

We know YOU know and understand this and will give it serious thought. Recycling makes us feel good but it will take a lot more than that to avoid the problems animals are already beginning to experience. No list here to make a point you already know but hadn’t thought about. The more people, the more ramifications to our environment.

Forward this to friends but most of all, do your own research and make changes. One small change, if made by a hundred people, can make a powerful difference. Now, hug your dog, were it not for him or her, you wouldn’t be here! And please, don’t forget about the whales.
