Barbara J. Andrews has, since the late sixties, written for Dog World, Kennel Review, and Canine Chronicle and since 1993, she has been an exclusive columnist for ShowSight Magazine.  She has authored eight breed books published in several languages, including World Of The Akita (Breed Book Of The Year Nominee), The Chihuahua, and The Miniature Bull Terrier.  Barbara is publisher of TheDogPlace, Editor of TheDogPress, and is the Toy Fox Terrier breed columnist for the AKC Gazette.

"BJ" and husband Bill (deceased) have bred more than 240 AKC Champions, owner-handled Group and Best In Show winners, half of the All Time Top Ten Register  Of Merit Akitas, and countless international Chs. from a breeding program never exceeding 12 dogs.  An award-winning Bengal cat breeder,  pre-AKC Akita fancier, and founder and First President of the Miniature Bull Terrier Club Of America, BJ is known for exploring and developing new breeds.  She has been exclusively devoted to the Toy Fox Terrier since 2001.
