Current Nominees and Judges Interviews to date:

Michele Billings: (interview pending due to family illness) "I have never met anyone more consistent. Just wish she did my breeds more often. Mike always has a kind word to each Junior she is judging."

Dany Canino: Interview "She knows how to train, show, etc. does it all.  Dedicated to making the correct decision no matter who is showing the dog and who would have their nose out of whack."

Ann Rogers Clark: (interview pending) "I learned a lot from her and try to apply those lessons in my own rings.  Thanks for doing this in your website.  It puts the credit where it belongs."

Richard Beauchamp: Interview "He knows a lot more than Bichons and he is fair inside and outside the ring."

Melbourne T. Downing: Interview "He does not say much but we all know to listen carefully when he tells us something.  He knows more than anyone judging today."

Virginia Hampton: (interview pending) "I have looked up to her for thirty years and because of her I decided to become a judge.  More of us should base our decisions on caring and knowing about a breed.  Then we can award our friends."

Lester Mapes: (interview pending) "He is an honest judge, kind to all the exhibitors and a gentleman in the ring.  All dogs get a fair shot under him, there is no leaning towards certain handlers or exhibitors."

Dorothy Nickles: (interview pending) "Taught me a lot about judging but mostly she taught about people and caring.  This is an interesting way to pay tribute to those of us who work so hard to do it right.  Thanks Miss Dorothy."

Frank Sabella: Interview "Moves effortlessly around the ring and through the standards to the right choice.  A man of many words and many talents.  So down to earth and "frank" about his enjoyment and knowledge."

Anna Wanner: (interview pending)  "Truly an asset to a lot of us judges through the years.  Thank you for the e-mail, keep them coming.  Example of good grooming, good manners, grace."

Judi Daniels: Interview  "a gracious and kind judge, putting both the exhibitors and dogs at ease.  We could attract many more people into the conformation rings if more judges would have her character and gracious style."

Rick Chashoudian: Interview  "Seems gruff to some but it is because he is so intent on doing it well.  Proves his eye for a dog and for structure in his art."

Joe Gregory: Interview "Those who know him know what he respects and when they win, no sense crying politics because it is his knowledge and love for the shows and the dogs that makes him keep smiling."

Peggy Mickelson:  Interview  "A gifted writer who can verbalize or write about the shows, the people, and what makes it all come together the way it should.  One who could do critiques as they do in Europe."

Mardi Ward: Interview  "I showed under her parents and was delighted when she moved right into judging.  She fills the ring with knowledge that can't be gained by just having worked her way up as a handler or breeder, which she is."
