ii - Contract With Dog Lovers

TheDogPlace was chartered to protect our right to own dogs, see Mission Statement.  We hereby agree to expose the "animal rights" agenda to end all ownership and breeding.  It is nothing more than a money-making sham.  Humans will always own, hunt, and breed animals.

TheDogPlace will also continue to inform those who would "fight the puppy mills" that USDA licensed High Volume Breeders are legally immune to such challenges.

However - TheDogPlace recognizes the imminent threat to our desire and/or ability to sustain a genetically viable breeding program.  Raids and seizures of valuable breeding stock will continue to escalate as will zoning, limit laws, and compliance restrictions.  Many vets today are indoctrinated by animal rights groups and their fees reflect it!  Only large commercial breeding facilities can meet such challenges and survive.  See Hunte Corporation.

TheDogPlace will therefore devote its resources to increase awareness of:

the threat to responsible breeders and

practicing veterinarians regarding

the difference between mass produced "purebreds" and carefully created, lovingly nurtured wellbred purebreds.

As of January 2012, TheDogPlace and its affiliates will undertake a duty to inform dog lovers and prospective owners about the agenda which is quite simply, to eliminate responsible breeders.  The truth has been kept hidden, masked by contrived campaigns against animal rights and puppy mills.  Why?  Because they compete for the dollars paid to hobby and show breeders.

Dog breeders have been distracted by a war we can't win, betrayed by entities which support (and profit by) the mass production of "purebred" puppies. Hobby and Show breeders don't mass produce nor do they contribute to animal rights groups.  Yet we compete with mass puppy producers and glamorous puppy stores. Therefore, if we fail to recognize and claim our monetary position, we are doomed to extinction.
