TheDogPlace and Marcia Rosenberg Expose Malpractice & Complaints Cover up in South Carolina. Demanding new Veterinary Legislation and compelling release of malpractice records to the public to protect dogs, cat, and other pets. Marcia Rosenberg's pet nearly died during routine spay by a vet with a lot of "history." She filed on behalf of all who have lost pets due to negligent vets whose records could not be accessed. |

SC VETERINARY PRACTICE ACTrec'd from Marcia Rosenberg
Marcia Rosenberg who fought this through the legislature and to whom pet owners everywhere owe a huge debt of gratitude. Signed in July 2006, we trust this is one law that is picked up by any states who still “practice” concealment of malpractice. Dogs and cats and other pets die every day at the hands of incompetent or negligent vets.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South
Carolina veterinary practice act was signed by Gov. Mark Sanford, making
veterinary disciplinary hearings open to the public.
"I am very happy this has passed; the practice act has a lot of important elements that will help the profession and pet owners," Shrum says.
Sen. Larry Grooms and Marcia Rosenberg, a pet owner whose cat almost
died after a botched spay surgery, lobbied for the hearings to be public
to protect pet owners, say they are happy with the outcome of their
efforts.
