Lana Tsan
biography

Lana TsanMy first purebred dog and my first champion are both poodle. The first one is a white poodle from Ireland when I was 8 years old. My first champion is a black poodle Ch. Troymere Replique from Australia and this dog won BIS in Hong Kong. I hold the record of clean sweep in Hong Kong winning not only BIS, RBIS, Best puppy 3-6 months and also Best Puppy 7-12 months in the same show. This is a record that is still being held.

I have over 80 champions from all over the world and with 54 breeds. I have retired from the show ring and has started investment in Chins in 1992. After I held the Hall of Fame dinner for old timers in the show world in HK and then formed The Chinese Pet Traders Association. This Association is formed with the idea that the person behind should be remembered as well as their winners because in many cases it is the owner that makes a better dog.

With the idea that China will be taking over HK eventually and that China having the laws that banned dogs from all city, it will be a disaster for many dogs in Hong Kong and we work to prevent that.

With this thought in mind I went to China to invest in a company for pets, pet supplies and  etc. This is a very new project for China although at that time due to the Shih Tzu fever there were many company that show the same interest but only one company survive and fulfill the investment sum.  Unfortunate that the company did not do any business due the fact that the banning of dogs from the city was again re-enforced in Dec. 1994.

My first champion poodle has also died in China at the ripe old age of 12 year old. I came back to HK broken hearted and got back to taking over North America Working Dog Association (Far East) Ltd as its business representative.

In Dec, 1998, the China Kennel Club (GD) was formed in which I have been make a Vice President plus also Vice President of Small Vet Association. I am also Vice President of the Quandong (Canton) Millennium Show with the China Kennel Club (GD) and is oversea President title from Taiwan.

As we make progress in education here, I am Hon. Chairperson for Association of Small Animal Protection, and Consultant for PET Zone Magazine and China Cat Association  (Beijing).  Our dog Olympic is 2001 Shenyang show that comes after big show in Beijing (capitol) and I am coordinator for both and consultant also for Qwai Yueng Kennel Club.  Our NASA club help with many other kennel clubs.
