We may BE tiny….
But we BE mighty!!!!

Yep, that sure describes the Toy Fox Terrier! These little guys are tiny packages of drive, fun and excitement as they dash through an agility course! Our favorite sport is dog agility but my three Toy Fox Terriers enjoy entertaining children and adults alike at campgrounds and just out on Sunday walks almost as well. They have a bag full of tricks and are not shy when it comes to showing off!

We started agility training in 2001 and entered our first trial in 2002 after a full year's training. We were all novices and learned together. I was addicted immediately and luckily so were they! It is a sport that builds a tremendous bond with your dog and the relationship continues to grow. Each dog has taught me so much about life and myself. Working and running these little guys is a true joy! We are a team and the bottom line is… that we always have fun no matter what the outcome!

A little about us: Lisa Herman I am owned and loved by three fabulous TFT’s and on the human side have a wonderful husband and two teenagers that support me 100%. I work full time, teach agility three nights a week, train my own dogs daily and usually compete in trials one or two weekends a month. Busy… I’ll say…but I savor every second of my wonderful life with my family and dogs!!

Herman’s Prancin’ Pistol Pete MX, MXJ, OJC, NAC Pete is a seven-year-old six lb. tri-color little bottle rocket! He is a true joy to run and keeps me on my toes. It’s all about speed with Pete and his favorite class is the Jumpers with Weaves where he can fly and there is no pause table to stop his all out run and slow him down.

MACH Herman’s Daze of Autumn OJC, NAC, NGC Dazi is a five-year-old five lb. white and tan little girl or should I say princess! She has a beautiful smooth style on course and her distance work is simply amazing for such a tiny little dog!

Herman’s Jumpin’ Jack-a-Roo is a two-year-old nine lb. white and tan rescue boy. He was found as a stray on Halloween. But his new life of fun and games seems to fit this little comedian just fine! This little guy knew nothing when he came to us and in the five months we have had him he has blossomed into a dog anyone would be proud to own. He will make his debut in the AKC agility ring this Fall.

Pete and Dazi both continue to amaze me with their giving spirits and love for the game. I had a dream to compete at the AKC Nationals and with lots of hard work, determination and two great little dogs, that dream became a reality January 2005 in Tampa, Florida. Both dogs qualified and competed in the Nationals. I am very proud of their performances in our first National Event. Dazi was the #3 TFT in AKC agility standings for 2004 and Pete was #4. Dazi is also the 4th TFT to achieve her MACH title!! They are already close to qualifying for the 2006 AKC Nationals. Again, I am just a very proud Mama!!

If you love excitement, spirit and staying on your toes… the TFT just might be the dog for you! I know my life is richer thanks to three wonderful little terriers that put a smile on my face each and every day!!
