Update On Class Action Suit Against Rimadyl

Pfizer's Annual Report consists of 66 pages. The following excerpt is from page number 60.

Quote: “In October 1999 the company was sued in an action seeking unspecified damages, costs and attorney's fees on behalf of a purported class of people whose dogs had suffered injury or death after ingesting Rimadyl, an antiarthritic medication for older dogs.  The suit, which was filed in state court in South Carolina, is in the early pre-trial stages.  The company believes it is without merit.”

With regards to Pfizer's Motion for a Change of Venue from Hampton County, S.C. to Richland County, S.C. this is to advise that Plaintiffs won the venue motion!  The Judge ruled that the case will proceed in Hampton County.   However, Pfizer may still file an appeal.

CANINE HEALTH CONCERN SEMINAR

Catherine O'Driscoll, author of the best selling book "What Vets Don't Tell You About Vaccines" and co-founder of Canine Health Concern, an international group of veterinarians and dog lovers who research the causes of canine disease and promote complementary preventative healthcare will be in Atlanta on February 3 and 4, 2001 teaching a seminar that will help pet owners keep their pets vibrant and healthy and will help to enable pet owners to achieve self empowerment when it comes to their pets health and health care. 

Catherine is donating her time for this seminar. Topics covered will include:
Introduction, history of Catherine and her journey, the history and founding of Canine Health Concern, Vaccines, vaccinosis, research into this area and what the future 
holds. Also Diet, nutrition, raw feeding and commercial food, Complementary Therapies, Animal health Issues in general, Anti-Animal legislation in the world and what can be done, EFT Therapy.

The seminar is being sponsored by SouthEasternBARF, an e-mail discussion group dedicated to Education for Biologically Appropriate Raw Foods, or Bones And Raw Foods (BARF) and Natural Animal Rearing (NR).
